Blackberry lassi recipe

This is such a vibrant lassi – it has the most beautiful purple colour and is fresh with the flavours of the sweet-sour blackberries. 

Ingredients

  • 300 g blackberries
  • 200 ml natural yogurt
  • 0.5 tsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 - 2 ½ tbsp. sugar, depending on the sweetness of the berries
  • 1 cup ice cubes and a few mint leaves, to serve

Step-by-step

  1. Purée together the berries, yoghurt, lemon juice and most of the sugar with 140ml water. Sweeten to taste. Pour through a sieve into glasses to remove the seeds.
  2. Serve chilled over ice cubes, with a mint leaf on top for colour and freshness.
