Rob Cottam

Rob Cottam was exposed to hundreds of different types of dishes whilst growing up. His Mum was a home economics teacher, Danish born but raised in Kenya, and Rob lived in Malaysia in his teenage years. All these influences developed his love of food and led to his career as a Chef today. Rob trained at leading West London cookery school, Leiths School of Food and Wine, taking the Diploma in Food and Wine and began his career as a chef working for fine dining caterers Rhubarb Food Design. Rob has also turned his hand to sharing his cookery skills with others and became a teacher, and later senior teacher, back at Leiths School of Food and Wine. Throughout his career he has also worked as a chef tutor at award winning Ashburton Cookery School in Devon, developing their professional `Chef Academy'. Since joining English Provender, Rob has been profiled at the BBC Good Food Show and is now the company's Head Chef. Rob has travelled extensively and eaten his way around the world but his favourite foods are simple, unfussy dishes. He loves everything from fine dining to Malaysian hawker stalls and crab on the English coast.
