Fancy trying out for The Great British Bake Off or MasterChef? Here's what you need to know.
Ever fancied entering a TV cookery competition? If you’ve resolved to show off your culinary prowess to the nation this year, then we’ve got all the information you need on how to apply for the most popular shows.
The Great British Bake-Off
Love Productions (no relation) is currently recruiting for the fourth series of GBBO. So if you want Mary Berry to mull on your cakes and Paul Hollywood to pass judgement on your bread, apply now. You must be 16 or over on 1st February and not have worked as a commercial baker. The closing date is 31st January.

MasterChef
If you think you’ve got what it takes to triumph in the famous kitchen, you’ll have to wait a while as applications are currently closed for both MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals. But keep an eye on the official MasterChef website for entry details.
Come Dine With Me
If you’re not ready to be critiqued by the professionals yet, how about cooking for three total strangers? Come Dine With Me is regularly on the hunt for new victims, sorry participants. Keep your eyes peeled on the Channel 4 Take Part Facebook page for filming dates in your area.

Junior MasterChef
The little nephew to the prime-time series, Junior MasterChef has forged its own fanbase with the CBBC audience. Applications for the next series are currently closed, but keep an eye on the MasterChef website for the next application period.
Guild of Food Writers’ Cook It!
This isn't a TV show, but we thought we'd include it anyway. If you have a keen young cook in the house, aged between 10 and 16, why not point them in the direction of the Guild of Food Writers’ Cook It! competition. All they need to do is create a two-course menu that they would cook to impress their friends. If they get through to the final, they’ll have the chance to cook it. The prize is a four-night family weekend in a cottage on the North Yorkshire coast. All the entry details are on the Guild's website.
