Chef's Hidden Orange Christmas puds fly off the shelves for the second year running.

Waitrose has had to order more of Heston Blumenthal’s Hidden Orange Christmas puddings after they flew off the shelves for the second year running.

Following a total sell-out last year, Waitrose ordered three times the amount this year but that hasn’t proved sufficient to satisfy demand. Reports say they’ve sold over 75,000 of the puddings since September.

As well as the 1.2kg version, which contains a whole candied orange in its centre, the supermarket has also released a 227g version, which contains a candied Clementine.

The new order is for ten times last year’s amount and Waitrose says the puddings will hit the shelves from early December.
