Goats' cheese and honey figs recipe

Take the stress out of hosting with this easy three-ingredient canapé idea. Ripe figs are baked with tangy goats' cheese and honey for a sweet-and-savoury combination.

  • 100 g goats' cheese
  • 3 tbsp clear honey

Step-by-step

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/400°F/gas mark 6.
  2. Cut the figs in half and place, cut-side up, on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cut a cross into the middle of each fig, being careful not to cut all the way through the skin. Lightly squeeze the figs to open up the crosses.
  3. Crumble the soft goats' cheese over and into each fig, pressing it down a little if needed.
  4. Drizzle over the clear honey. Bake the figs for 5 mins or until sticky and softened.
  5. Transfer to a serving platter or board, and serve warm.
