Tania Ballantine

Previously News Editor of Square Meal, Tania went freelance in Autumn 2010, but continues to specialise in writing about restaurants, travel and famous foodies. Born in Houston, Texas, to a Sri Lankan/Portuguese/Scottish father and a German mother, she considers herself lucky to have two passports - British and American - and have lived across three continents and five countries. The only one of her siblings to settle in London (her brothers live in Boston and Sydney respectively), Tania now calls Balham home. She is currently attempting to grow her own fruit. With limited success.
