Cathryn Dresser was the quarter finalist and extremely popular contestant on the third series of the well-loved BBC2 show, Great British Bake Off in 2012. Cathryn was a huge hit on the show with the audience instantly warming to her bubbly personality and humour. Despite narrowly missing out on the title of bake off winner, the show opened plenty of doors for the mother of two and allowed her to realise her baking potential. Since the show Cathryn has run a successful market stall in her hometown, trained and worked in her local patisserie honing her skills and had many recipes featured in national magazines. Cathryn has also been busy doing demos and baking master classes at events including the BBC Good Food Show and the Cake and Bake Show. Most recently Cathryn appeared on ITV’s This Morning showing how to recreate her favourite recipes. However, she still finds time to bake with her children, and hopes that her first recipe book ‘Let’s Bake’ (published summer 2014, Orion books) will be the perfect recipe book to share with them and for others to do the same with their families. Cathryn lives in Sussex with her husband and two children, Maisie and Ambrose.
