Elwen Roberts

Elwen Roberts is a TV chef and home economist who is also the Consumer Executive with Red Meat Promotion Body Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotions Wales. She is the author of cookery books aimed at children, Cool2Cook 1 and 2, which to date have been distributed to more than 70,000 children throughout Wales and beyond. Elwen has also completed a cookbook aimed at students who are living away from home for the first time. Titled First Degree Cooking, the book will be launched during Freshers Week 2011. Elwen has a regular TV cookery slot on S4C's magazine programme Wedi 3, as well as numerous appearances on radio where she discusses the nutritional benefits of red meat and its role as part of a balanced, healthy diet. She attends consumer and trade shows across the UK and Europe, giving public cookery demonstrations. She also gives talks and demonstrations to teachers and health professionals during training days and conferences. Elwen has devised delicious, healthy and simple recipes that can be created all year round and enjoyed by the whole family, with ideas ranging from tasty summer salads to hearty winter stews.
