On its own, turmeric can be slightly astringent, but once mixed in this marinade for chicken breasts with honey, yoghurt and fresh lime, it becomes delightfully fragrant, with a hint of sweetness. The recipe asks for fresh turmeric, but you can substitute it with 2tsp dried if fresh is hard to track down. Once grilled until browned and crisp on the edges, these kebabs are great in pitta breads with a crunchy salad.
