22. Storm Castle Cafe, Bozeman, Montana
This farm-to-table restaurant is known for its fresh flavors, friendly staff, and mighty meals. When Fieri visited for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, he was so impressed with the Monte Cristo that he called it a ‘destination dish’ worth traveling the country for. The sammie first sees shaved ham and Swiss cheese sandwiched between savory French toast; it's then battered, fried, and served with house-made syrup, eggs, and hash browns. Locals agree with Fieri and say you really can’t beat it.
21. Mrs. Potato, Orlando, Florida
Dishing up Brazilian food with an American twist, Mrs. Potato is one of Orlando’s must-visit restaurants – and we aren’t the only ones who think so. Fieri has stopped by this fusion spot a handful of times and has always been blown away by the scratch-made dishes. He especially loved the Carne Seca Rosti, a fried potato rosti stuffed with Brazilian cured meat, but regulars say you can’t go wrong with the loaded baked potatoes either.
20. Skirted Heifer, Colorado Springs, Colorado
Fieri fell in love with The Hangover – a grass-fed beef patty loaded with a fried egg, bacon, cream cheese, and Bloody Mary sauce – when he first visited burger joint Skirted Heifer. He now stops by whenever he’s in Colorado Springs and has featured the eatery on his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives a few times, too. Another Fieri menu favorite is the Pueblo Farmer, a patty topped with Pueblo chilies, pepper Jack cheese, and house-made guacamole.
19. Crêpe Expectations, Las Vegas, Nevada
This purple-hued joint does crêpes its own way. Fieri has visited the popular spot twice and was quick to praise its originality and powerful flavors. Go savory with the Chicken Chili Verde crêpe (shredded chicken, roasted green chili sauce, cilantro-lime crema, and Jack cheese), or try a sweet one with fresh blueberries and lemon custard.
18. Audrey Jane’s Pizza Garage, Boulder, Colorado
Having fallen for the crispy-bottomed crusts and unique toppings when he first visited Audrey Jane’s Pizza Garage in 2017, Fieri has since returned multiple times for a delicious slice of pie. His favorite is the Spicy Pig, a New York–style base topped with hand-crushed tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted jalapeños, and fresh garlic. Fiery and flavorful, the host once claimed he 'couldn’t find anything he didn’t like' about it.
17. Vincentown Diner, Southampton Township, New Jersey
A Southampton Township icon, this family-run eatery serves up classic American diner–style food with a twist. Fieri, who has visited several times, was blown away by the team’s signature dish. Named the Mile High Meatloaf, it features two giant slabs of house-made meatloaf layered with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, beef gravy, and fried onions, and served with a medley of vegetables. Other Fieri-approved dishes include the beef stroganoff and the apple pie French toast.
16. Panini Pete, Fairhope, Alabama
Fieri believes that for toasted, fully loaded sammies, there’s no better place than Panini Pete in Fairhope. The green and white joint has won serious praise from the food personality, featuring on season three of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, as well as Triple D Takeout and Guy’s Family Road Trip. Fieri always orders the House Roasted Turkey sandwich: roasted turkey, baby greens, roasted peppers, Dijon mustard, garlic aioli, and house-made mozzarella, all served on freshly toasted focaccia.
15. Gordy’s Hi-Hat, Cloquet, Minnesota
Loved by Cloquet locals, Gordy’s Hi-Hat has been serving fabulous fried food since 1960 – and it shows no signs of stopping. Fieri is a huge fan of the fast food institution, adoring it so much that he’s visited a handful of times for his shows. Must-try dishes include the Wisconsin cheese curds, the hand-battered fish sandwiches, the Coney dogs, and the Pizza Burger (a patty topped with Italian seasoning, pizza sauce, and melted mozzarella). Don’t forget to get a hand-crafted shake for the road, too.
14. Uncle Lou’s Fried Chicken, Memphis, Tennessee
Fieri has raved about Uncle Lou’s Fried Chicken ever since he first visited in 2008, and in doing so, he helped bring the fried chicken joint back from the brink of bankruptcy. The spot is now flourishing, with loyal fans traveling the country to try its saucy Buffalo wings and buttery biscuits. If you’re not sure what to order, get the legs and thighs platter, served with biscuits and sides (think fried okra, corn nuggets, and potato salad).
13. Prince Lebanese Grill, Arlington, Texas
Attracting the attention of Fieri multiple times, Prince Lebanese Grill serves up some incredible Middle Eastern dishes. This Arlington staple featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Fieri’s cooking show Guy’s Big Bite, and it’s been drawing in Fieri fans ever since. The zany TV personality swears by the crisp, fresh falafels, pilaf rice with fried vermicelli, and tender Texan beef, which is beautifully spiced with Lebanese flavors.
12. Rino’s Place, Boston, Massachusetts
Established in 1985, Rino’s Place specializes in authentic Italian American dishes. Its popularity has only been enhanced thanks to its multiple appearances on Fieri’s shows. When the eatery first featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, the host was stunned by the fresh flavors and sweetness of the lobster ravioli, and it’s still a menu staple today. Other highlights include the shrimp scampi, the bruschetta, the calamari linguine, and the chicken Parmesan with marinara.
11. Chaps Pit Beef, Baltimore, Maryland
Slow-cooked beef roasted over charcoal is the specialty of Chaps Pit Beef, a brilliant barbecue joint in Baltimore. Fieri visited the spot for an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and he was so impressed with the service, authenticity, and flavors that he also gave the spot a shoutout on an episode of Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Follow Fieri’s lead and order the 52 Chaps Special – thinly sliced pit beef, corned beef, ham, and American cheese stuffed inside a submarine roll. You won’t regret it.
10. Hankook Taqueria, Atlanta, Georgia
Serving up Korean Mexican fusion dishes, Hankook Taqueria is one of the most unique restaurants Fieri has ever visited. The host adored the restaurant from the start – so much so that he’s returned multiple times. Head here to try the Fieri-approved kimchi fries (house-made kimchi, queso, a fried egg, gochujang, and scallions on a bed of sesame fries), the quesadilla (roasted pork, kimchi, and Jack cheese in a toasted tortilla, served with sour cream and kimchi salsa), and the crispy chicken ‘Tong Dak’ (Korean-fried chicken with chipotle aioli and Jack cheese).
9. Falafel’s Drive In, San Jose, California
A large, colorful mural isn’t the only thing that makes Falafel’s Drive In memorable: this old-school joint serves up irresistible falafel, too. The restaurant has been a fan favorite since opening in 1966, and its popularity further soared after featuring in an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Fieri, whose portrait was incorporated into the mural, was shown how to make the top-secret falafel recipe, and he adored the freshness of each crispy sphere. He even went as far as saying it was 'one of the neatest falafel joints' he had been to in an interview with Travel + Leisure magazine.
8. 59er Diner, Leavenworth, Washington
Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s All-American Road Trip, it’s well worth adding 59er Diner to your road trip bucket list. This steel diner is renowned for its hand-crafted milkshakes, with the spot making around 35,000 of them every year. They come in a multitude of delicious flavors, from black raspberry and caramel to peanut butter and butterscotch.
7. Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles, New York City, New York
A restaurant has to be really good for Fieri to post about it on his personal Instagram account, but that’s exactly what he did for Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles in New York City. This spot certainly lives up to the hype, serving some of the freshest house-made noodles in the city, as well as scratch-made dumplings, beef in Szechuan sauce, sesame chicken, and fresh cucumber salad. Fieri also raved about this noodle joint on an episode of Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
6. Tomi Thai, Windsor, California
When craving authentic Thai flavors, Fieri hits up Tomi Thai. In an online video interview during the COVID-19 pandemic, the TV personality said he’d visited the Windsor joint numerous times, and that he'd tried everything on the menu. His favorite dishes include the larb and the drunken noodles (pan-fried rice noodles with onions, tomatoes, basil, chilies, scallions, cabbage, egg, and your choice of protein).
5. Kuma’s Corner, Chicago, Illinois
Located in Fieri’s favorite food city, Kuma’s Corner serves up mouthwatering burgers packed with flavor. The Food Network host showcased the burger joint on his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and went as far as saying the Black Sabbath (a beef patty finished with chili, pepper Jack cheese, red onions, and spices, served in a toasted pretzel bun) was among the top five burgers he’d ever tasted – a mega claim considering how many hundreds he’s tried.
4. Tom’s Barbecue, Memphis, Tennessee
Having first hit up Tom’s Barbecue in 2007, Fieri has returned to this Memphis hotspot many times – and for good reason. The plates here come heaped with melt-in-your-mouth smoked meats and sides that pack a real punch. Fieri highly rates the tender rib tips, which are flavored with a Greek-style rub, marinated for 24 hours, and grilled to perfection for two hours.
3. Roberto’s Taco Shop, Las Vegas, Nevada
Carne asada burritos aren’t difficult to come by, but when Fieri claims there’s only one spot he’ll head to when the craving strikes, fans listen. On an episode of Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Fieri revealed his favorite Mexican spot when he was at college in Las Vegas was Roberto’s Taco Shop. It was here he’d regularly chow down on the carne asada burrito, packed out with fresh guacamole and salsa. The joint has since grown into a mini chain, with multiple locations across Nevada, California, and Texas.
2. Olneyville NY System, Providence, Rhode Island
When interviewed for Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Fieri claimed the hand-held staple served up at Olneyville NY System was 'without question one of the best hot dogs I ever ate.' This Rhode Island institution is regarded as one of the state’s must-visit spots, adored for its wieners served ‘all the way.’ Expect an elaborate feast for the senses, as the chefs line the dogs up on their forearms and top them with steaming meat sauce, zingy mustard, raw onion, and celery salt.
1. La Scarola, Chicago, Illinois
Specializing in old-school Italian cooking, La Scarola is not only loved by locals, but by Fieri too. In an interview with Travel + Leisure magazine, the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host said this charming spot was his favorite restaurant in Chicago. Those who follow his recommendation won’t be disappointed and can expect big plates piled with the likes of crispy calamari, meat-packed lasagna, eggplant Parmesan, and sautéed veal with mushrooms and zucchini.
