When made from scratch, doughnuts can take a long time to prepare and perfect. However, a new technique using just water and a slice of bread has gone viral – and it’s actually pretty genius. Cut the crust off your slice, sprinkle it with water to soften it up, then shape it into a ball and poke a hole through the middle to resemble a doughnut. Fry the bread dough in hot oil until golden, dust it with your favourite flavouring (cinnamon and sugar work well) and enjoy.
