All profit from Comfort Cafe goes towards the non-profit organisation SerenityStar Recovery, helping people overcome addiction. That’s why the dishes come with a pay-what-you-can price tag, although the suggested donation is around $15 (£11) a meal. In return, customers get huge portions of breakfast classics such as stuffed French toast and sweet cream pancakes – alongside warm feelings in their bellies for doing good for the community.
