Silent film actor Charlie Chaplin could often be seen chowing down on something strange in his movies, including the shoe his character famously ate in The Gold Rush (which was actually made of liquorice). What fewer people may know is that Chaplin also contributed personal recipes to several publications, often for a good cause, and had a couple of surprising favourite foods.
