People trek from all over Houston to get a taste of the authentic Mexican food served at two locations. At the heart of everything is Doña Lena, who came to the US from Mexico in the 1990s and supported her family by selling tacos out of her home kitchen, eventually setting up a restaurant with her son, Angel.

On the menu today, you’ll find lovingly made tacos, quesadillas, gorditas, and sopes, all given a wonderful kick by the house-made hot sauces available.
