It's Great British Beef Week so here are 10 of our best beefy recipes.

Bloody Mary burger

This cocktail-inspired burger is made with a patty flavoured with Worcestershire and horseradish sauces, parsley and onion. It's served in a bread bun with a dollop of homemade Tabasco-cumin ketchup and a celeriac Waldorf salad on the side. Look at that piled-high bun pictured above and tell us truthfully you could resist it!

Cornish pasty

Cornish pastyFrom a cosmopolitan burger to something much more rural and robust. The Cornish pasty is a wonderful thing that keeps you full for most of the day. Big chunks of meat, swede, onions and potatoes are sealed together in a pastry 'shell', meaning that the flavours merge and strengthen as it cooks.

Slow-cooked beef buns

Beef bunSlow-cooked beef becomes super tender, and here James Ramsden cooks beef shin in tomato purée, a splash of beer and beef stock, until it just crumbles and melts in the mouth. It's then placed in a bun with smoked chilli sour cream, lettuce and coriander. Dig in.

Cold rare roast beef

Cold rare beefThis beef is seared briefly then quickly blasted in a hot oven, before being carved up to reveal the beautiful red rare centre.
Served with a dill and mustard sauce, and a generous handful of piquant watercress or rocket, it's the ultimate cold cut.

Brisket wrap

Brisket wrapHeston Blumenthal brines the brisket for between 24 and 48 hours to keep it juicy, then sears the outside of the joint and cooks it on a low heat for five whole hours.
It's then sliced up and wrapped in a flour tortilla with freshly made red cabbage slaw and rocket leaves.

Olive-stuffed beef meatballs

Olive-stuffed beef meatballsA core of fleshy, salty queen olives sit in the middle of these beautifully rich meatballs, which are cooked in an equally delicious tomato and white wine sauce with onions.
Mix in some halved black olives for extra flavour. We absolutely adore this recipe here at Lovefood.

Daube de bouef

Daube de bouefThis slow-cooked French stew calls for the beef to be marinated beforehand, with garlic, pork fat and red wine, then cooked in a casserole dish for six hours. Great with boiled new potatoes or slices of a crunchy, crusty baguette, and it's a useful recipe to have for using up roast leftovers

Chappli kebabs

Chappli kebabsThese kebabs can be made with either lamb or beef mince, or even a mix of both. Blitz coriander, cumin seeds, onion, chillies and ginger, then mix this paste with the mince and garam masala to make your kebabs. Sound flavoursome? You bet. Serve with a tangy chutney of your choosing.

Horseradish and sugar crusted beef

Beef roastA main event of terrific proportions. The fiery roar of horseradish in your mouth along with the soft touch of sugar bring contrasting flavours to a tender roast topside joint.
Serve as part of Sunday dinner with all the trimmings, and make our helping as large as you can please.

Low-fat sichuan beef

Sichuan beefIt's true that beef isn't the healthiest thing to eat, but it's fine in moderation. This recipe makes moderation a little easier with a tasty but low-fat approach focusing on vegetables and spices almost as much as the meat itself, with plenty of colour added by peppers and spring onions.
