If you knew that your next meal would be your last, what would be on the menu?

If you had one meal left...

A new study undertaken by vouchercodespro has revealed that when asked to choose their top three preferences for a three-course meal from a list of 150 options, the overwhelming majority of people would opt for scallops, steak, and sticky toffee pudding as their final meal.

A total of 1837 UK adults were polled, and the results were as follows:

Top three starters:
Scallops - (21%)
Pate and crusty bread - (13%)
Garlic bread with cheese - (7%)

Top three main courses:
Steak and chips - (18%)
Roast beef with all the trimmings - (12%)
Chicken curry, naan bread, pilau rice and poppadams - (6%)

Top three desserts:
Sticky toffee pudding with custard - (14%)
Chocolate brownie and ice cream - (11%)
Lemon meringue pie - (4%)

66% of participants said that they would prefer to eat something they knew would make their last meal enjoyable, as opposed to trying something new.

To accompany the meal, the most popular beverages picked were red wine (19%), lager (13%), vodka (9%) and whiskey (5%). 86% of respondents would choose an alcoholic beverage to drink with their last meal.

...what would you choose?

Imagine you had just one meal left to enjoy, and you get to set the menu.
